From July 10 to 13, the 19th grade of the High School Attached to Tsinghua University held the entry education theme activity of "Carrying the original Heart of a Century · Round Youth Dream" in the Kubuqi Desert, the seventh largest desert in China。Mr. Wang Dianjun, President of Tsinghua High School, Mr. Li Shuxia, director of Student Development Center, Mr. Zhou Jianjun, deputy leader of the grade, Mr. Zhou Zhe, and more than 600 teachers and students of the new high School Three participated in the activity。

On the morning of July 10th, all the teachers and students set foot on the train to Baotou together, opening a four-day journey of self-improvement and inspirational melting team。

On the afternoon of July 10, all teachers and students visited Baotou City North Weapons City and Baotou Steel Industrial Park。In the northern weapons City, the students walked among these guns, tanks and warplanes, a piece of heavy weapons are telling people about their past glory。They have witnessed the development of the Republic's weapons, experienced the difficult search of national defense science and technology from weak to strong, so that students feel the dignified note of the changing era。In Baotou Steel Industrial Park, the students visited the steel production line and the steel exhibition hall, and felt the development of Baotou steel for more than 60 years and the special red gene。For nearly a century, China's industry from scratch, from small to large, through a long and arduous development process, and the new China to grow together, this is a history of self-improvement, a history of independent innovation of science and technology。

On the morning of July 11, teachers and students came to the grassland tourism area of Ordos for grassland experience course。Here, students learned about Mongolian Yuan culture, watched the Nadam live-action horse drama "Hero" and acrobatic "Flying Grassland", and carried out activities such as building yurts, archery, horse riding, grass skiing, and felt painting。

On the morning of July 12, all teachers and students came to the Yinkantara Desert tree planting base, where teachers and students planted nearly 300 poplar trees, contributing their own strength to the ecological improvement of the western part of the motherland, and planting a piece of hope。

On the afternoon of July 12, all the teachers and students of Grade 19 came to the Kubuqi Desert together to start a two-day desert crossing action。With the sound of a starting gun from President Wang Dianjun, teachers and students crossed the starting gate one after another and began to accept the test of the scorching sun。Difficulties did not frighten the strong people, each class teachers and students lined up, through the sand through the wind。After more than four hours of hard work, through the straight distance of 8 kilometers, the actual distance of 13 kilometers of the desert, the teachers and students arrived at the camp and began camping。When night falls and the stars cover the sky, teachers and students take the vast desert as the stage and the vast stars as the scenery, light a bonfire and enjoy the dance。When the flame rises to the sky and lights up the sky, the dream of the young students will also set sail。

On the morning of July 13, the students got up early, quickly packed up the tent materials, and prepared to walk out of the desert in batches。Before departure, the students searched the camp carpet, picked up all the garbage in the camp, and did not leave anything except footprints。In the morning, the students carried the hot sun, arm in arm, across the ridge of sand mountain, all teachers and students, no one left behind, successfully arrived at the end, hand in hand to hit the line。

After wearing out of the desert, the students also went to the monument of the anti-Japanese heroes in Engbei for a memorial sweep。"You did not leave, but lived in the hearts of each of us," the students held chrysanthemums, saluting the heroes。

On the afternoon of July 13, the students set foot on the road to return, pouring their sweat on this land, remaining in their hearts is the tenacious will and the reception of the third year of life。

Kubuqi Desert is the seventh largest desert in China, "Kubuqi" is Mongolian, meaning the string on the bow, because it is under the Yellow River like a string hanging on the Yellow River。Crossing the desert, like senior year, is a test for students。I believe that this experience of overcoming difficulties together will become a valuable asset for the students of Grade 19, helping them to overcome themselves in the future life, complete challenges, and usher in a better life。
